CREDIT ASSESSMENT & LOAN MANAGEMENT COURSE

Rang-ay Bank Area Managers Winnie A. Mingaracal & Rowena Rosales attended a six (6) day seminar on Credit Assessment and Loan Management (CALM) from July 17 – 22, 2017 at Lenox Hotel, Dagupan City.

        The seminar is designed to help understand the business environment of the proponent, identify the   opportunities for lending, identifying quantity & assess risk, understanding the component of business plan & to perform financial analysis & assess financial viability of project through Credit Assessment Report(CAR). Part of the workshop was a group case study to implement learnings from the course. The case study was prepared for presentation to the evaluators from Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) Dagupan City Branch & Consultant Mr. Alfredo Gula. The seminar is also about lending to SMEs particulary the social entrepreneurs in which there are 3P’s to consider-planet, people and profit. These social entrepreneurs must submit a business plan in order to assess their capacity to pay & to check the viavilty of the proposed project and to be able to evaluate the credit worthiness of the borrower.
