Making Financial Inclusion a Reality
Rang-ay Bank inaugurated its Bangui Branch on Dec. 8, 2017 and held a reception at Florencio’s Place, Bangui, Ilocos Norte. Located in 4th class municipality, near the northern tip of the Luzon, the newest bank branch is housed at the ground floor of the new Tiendaan ti Bangui, along the scenic Pan-Philippine National Highway.
The program started with cutting of the ribbon ceremony led by Guest of Honor Municipal Mayor of Bangui, Honorable Fidel Cimatu, Rang-ay’s President & CEO Ives Nisce, former PRC Board of Dentistry Chair Dr. Rose Canlas-Nisce and Rang-ay Bank Vice- President-Operation Ives Jesus Nisce II. Rev. Fr. Tirzo Alcover of St. Nicolas Parish Church led the blessing ceremony.
Bangui Branch is the 3rd branch of Rang-ay Bank in the province of Ilocos Norte and 27th overall. Rang-ay President Ives Q. Nisce in his opening remarks stated that the opening of a branch in a 4th class municipality is a solid manifestation of Rang-ay Banks support to the government’s thrust for financial inclusion. The opening of Bangui Branch is in the line with the bank’s vision and mission of hastening the wheels of progress in the countryside by bringing the benefits of modern banking to more localities in Northern luzon.
Rang-ay Bank continues to expand its branch network as it also just opened its 26th branch in Sinait, Ilocos Sur last October 18, 2017. Already with the widest branch network in the Ilocos and Cordillera Regions, the bank will continue to expand its area of coverage in 2018.
