Rang-ay Bank Recognized as Laoag City Top PMCC Taxpayer

As one of the highlights of this month-long celebration of the Charter Anniversary of the City of Laoag, Rang-ay Bank Laoag Branch was once again recognized as the Top 1 Taxpayer in the Laoag City Public Market & Commercial Complex (PMCC) for Fiscal Year 2024. The awarding ceremony, was held at the Laoag City Multipurpose Hall on June 23, 2025.
 
Accepting the award on behalf of the Bank were Area Manager Dennis Dosono, SBM Joan Mae Asia, and Laoag Marketing Officer Jan Michaela Julian. This recognition affirms Rang-ay Bank’s commitment to civic responsibility and making a lasting impact on the community. As a consistent and responsible taxpayer, Rang-ay Bank takes pride in supporting Laoag City’s economic development. Its dedication to integrity, transparency, and public service has made it a trusted partner in building a progressive local economy.

Rotary & PDG Rudy Nisce Foundation

The Rotary PDG “Rudy” Nisce Foundation, Inc.,  held its Annual Meeting with the Rotary Club of San Fernando, La Union. The event served as both a year-end report and a tribute to the late Atty. Rodolfo “Rudy” Nisce, the club’s first District Governor, whose legacy of service and education continues to guide the Foundation’s mission.

Among the highlights was a review of Sparks of Skill, a welding training program, at TESDA Regional Office I. Sponsored by the Foundation and Rotary Club of San Fernando (LU), the program reflects their commitment to skills development. Rang-ay Bank supports the initiative, honoring its first president, Atty. Rodolfo Nisce—also the first Rotary District Governor from the Ilocos.

Roadshow Unites Region I & CAR Bankers

The Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP) successfully held the Angel Network Roadshow for Region I and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) on May 26 & 27, 2025, at Awesome Hotel in San Juan, La Union. The two-day event brought together rural bankers and industry partners to foster stronger connections and encourage collaboration in uplifting countryside banking. Region I and CAR are home to 46 rural banks, part of over 400 rural banks across the country.

Distinguished speakers from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) delivered timely insights through the Economic and Financial Learning Outreach, the Technology Risk and Innovation Supervision Department, and the Financial Inclusion Office. Representatives from the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC), along with partners from the FinTech and motor vehicle industries, also shared updates and presentations relevant to the rural banking sector.

Rang-ay Bank joined fellow rural banks in this meaningful event, reaffirming its active role in supporting initiatives that promote growth, resilience, and inclusive progress. Rang-ay Bank President and CEO Ives Jesus Nisce II also participated in the roadshow, further underscoring the bank’s leadership and dedication to rural banking advancement.

Rang-ay Chairman Honored by National Association

               Rang-ay Bank Chairman Ives Q. Nisce was recently honored by the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines (RBAP) with a Plaque of Recognition for his dedicated service as a past President of the national association. The awarding took place during a fellowship gathering of rural bankers from across the country.
 
               Chairman Nisce’s leadership has left a lasting impact on the rural banking sector, particularly in advancing financial inclusion and strengthening countryside development. His tenure as RBAP President was marked by strategic advocacy and support for rural banks nationwide.
 
The recognition reflects not only his individual achievements but also Rang-ay Bank’s longstanding commitment to empowering communities and supporting the growth of the rural banking industry. Under Chairman Nisce’s guidance, the bank has championed financial inclusion, expanded access to credit for farmers and small business owners, and actively supported policies that strengthen rural economies. His leadership continues to inspire meaningful progress in delivering accessible and reliable banking services to the countryside.
