67 Years of Countryside Banking

Rang-ay Bank celebrated its 67 years of Countryside Banking with a recognition and awarding program participated by its officers from 30 banking offices live and via teleconference. The event was held at One Nisce Place (ONP) Events Hall in San Fernando City, La Union last January 21, 2023.
The event is not merely a celebration of the bank’s 67 years of success but also a way to recognize and award the top-performing branches and Head office units for 2022. Rang-ay Bank also had a pinning ceremony for the newly promoted officers. Embodying the bank’s mission to hasten progress in the communities of the Ilocos Region and the Cordillera through accessible and affordable banking services and empowering North Luzon with globally competitive banking services.
Partnership with Landbank of the Philippines (LBP)

Rang-ay Bank and the Landbank of the Philippines strengthened their many years of partnership with the renewal signing of a Rediscounting Line Agreement last December 23, 2022 at Rang-ay Bank’s head office in San Fernando City, La Union. Rang-ay Bank represented by Chairman Ives Nisce, President & CEO Ives Jesus Nisce II, VP for Credit and Remedial Management Units Nina Francisca Palabay and Credit Management Officer Kaye Ann Culbengan renewed its Agreement with Landbank represented by LBP-La Union Ilocos Lending Center (LUILC) Head Myra Myrtha Padolina and Account Officer Janyfi Cisnero. Rang-ay Bank continues to provide financial services to farmers and fisherfolk, contractual and salaried workers, landowners, rural entrepreneurs, real estate developers and OFW’s. With the bank’s low interest rate on loans coupled with longer terms, clients can look forward to flexible loan programs.

Rang-ay Bankers, for the 1st time since the start of the pandemic, gathered face-to-face as it celebrated the annual Christmas Party last December 17, 2022 with the theme: “Mask-querade Christmas Ball”. The party was attended by more than 200 Rang-ay Bank personnel from Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, La Union, Benguet and Pangasinan.
The programme started with a live Mass celebrated by Fr. Alfonso Ramon “Mons” Lacsamana to mark the birth of our Lord and a Thanksgiving for the year 2022. A welcome address and Christmas message from Chairman Ives Q. Nisce jumpstarted the event.
One significant part of the program was the recognition of the long serving Rang-ay Bankers with a special Service Achievement for serving their local communities for the past ten (10) years. The milestone awardees were Vigan Senior Branch Manager Rolly Rabanal and HR Training Officer Alexander Ferrer.
Narvacan (IS) Branch 13th Anniversary

Through the years, Rang-ay Bank actively extends a helping hand to the community by giving back to the people who have placed their trust in the bank.
Last November 27, 2020, Rang-ay Bank headed by Area Manager for Central Branches Thelma Tabafunda together with Security Officer Reggie Ordoño led a project with the DepED School Division Office-City of San Fernando Disaster Risk Reduction Management (SDO-CSF DRRM) Coordinator Ray Anton Rimas. The bank donated acrylic face shields and T-shirts to DRRM coordinators from different schools in the City of San Fernando, La Union. The turnover was held at Bangbangolan National High School (BNHS), City of San Fernando, La Union. The project aims to provide safety to the DepED Personel in performing their duties and responsibilities to our learners, schools and the community.
As fellow frontliners who serve the people of the countryside, Rang-ay Bank is optimistic that as we diligently follow the health protocols being implemented, we shall overcome this pandemic. The bank also believes that whatever challenges that may come, the spirit of Christmas will always stay.
