CCTV FOR SAN JUAN (LU) PUBLIC MARKET

As part of the celebration of the 8th Anniversary of San Juan (La Union) Branch, Rang-ay Bank donated CCTV surveillance package which include 16 units of CCTV cameras with 16-channel DVR, monitor and cctv cables to Local Government Unit of San Juan last March 16, 2021 intended for the town’s public market.

The team led by Area Manager for Central Branches Thelma Evelyn Tabafunda together with San Juan Branch Manager Novelyn Luebben and Marketing Officer Florence Licudine turned over the donation to San Juan Mayor Arturo Valdriz. The project aims to provide safety and security for market goers and vendors of San Juan La Union.

TULONG EDUKASYON: DONATION DRIVE AND MINI SYMPOSIUM

Rang-ay Bank supported the project of the Rotary Club of San Fernando North and Rotary Club of San Juan by participating in the “Tulong Edukasyon: Donation Drive and Mini-Symposium”held at Almeida Elementary School in Balaoan, La Union last March 6, 2021.

The Rotary Project headed by Club President Kyle Nisce include Coastal Clean-up Drive in Brgy. Paraoir, Balaoan,La Union, Tree Planting and Tulong-Edukasyon: Donation Drive for Almeida Elementary School as well as Mini-Symposium. The program was participated by the 4P’s Families and teachers of the school.

BSP RENEWS RANG-AY ACCREDITATION

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) updated the list of Accredited Rural Financial Institutions (RFIs) in a Circular-Letter issued by BSP Deputy Governor Fonacier dated February 9, 2021. Ten (10) banks are accredited for the purpose of implementing the Agri-Agra Reform Credit Act of 2009 (RA 10000).

BSP’s list of banks approved as RFIs have been listed since 2012 and serves as a guide to inform the public of which banks to approach for agri-agra credit compliance. RA 10000 aims to provide agriculture, fisheries and agrarian reform credit to improve the productivity of the Agriculture and Fisheries sectors. The Act consider loans to support activities and projects pertaining to agriculture as stipulated under the Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization Act (AFMA) and the Agrarian Reform Code of the Philippines.

Among the accredited banks, Rang-ay Bank is the only bank based in Region I and CAR. The bank actively finances Agri-Businesses such as rice-millers, vegetable haulers, contract growers, warehousers, agri-suppliers and bamboo growers all over the region. The bank provides collateral-free loans to small-scale cultivators, farmers, tenants and lease holders that include backyard or cottage poultry projects and livestock raisers. Together with the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), the bank is able to provide additional capital for agricultural projects such as livestock and fishery projects, planting of rice, corn and vegetables and other food crops raisers.

PPE’s FOR LA TRINIDAD FRONTLINERS

La Trinidad (Benguet) Branch marked it’s 14th Anniversary by donating 100 full body protection PPE suit to the health workers of the Local Government Unit of La Trinidad on March 28, 2021.

As frontliners, the bank honors the efforts of our health workers who fight against the Covid-19. Rang-ay Bank aims to give protection to our frontliners by giving sets of PPE’s to the Barangay Health Workers (BHW) and contact tracers of La Trinidad. Mayor Romeo Salda expressed his gratitude to Rang-ay Bank in behalf of La Trinidad Health Workers for the donations that will give protection to our modern day heroes, the frontliners.

Rang-ay Bank La Trinidad Branch has been in the City of La Trinidad Benguet since 2006 serving farmers, agribusinesses and entrepreneurs in La Trinidad and nearby municipalities of Benguet.

HEALTH CARE FOR SENIORS OF CANDON (IS)

Rang-ay Bank Candon (Ilocos Sur) Branch celebrated its 24th Anniversary with a donation of medical supplies and vitamins for the Senior Citizens of Brgy. San Antonio, Candon City, Ilocos Sur last March 24, 2021.

The team led by Area Manager for North Branches Rowena Rosales together with Candon Senior Branch Manager Janice Peralta and Marketing Team turned over 10 Blood Pressure Monitors, 10 Weighing Scales, 5 Nebulizers and 80 boxes of Vitamin C to the Federation of Senior Citizens of Candon City. Federation of Senior Citizens President Benito Galdones expressed his gratitude to Rang-ay Bank for the love and care for the senior citizens of Candon City.

Marketing Officer Florence Joy Licudine also conducted a Financial Literacy Training focusing on Scam Prevention and Awareness to educate the seniors on how to detect and prevent scams.
