ORIENTATION AND AMLA SEMINAR 2020
Rang-ay Bank held an orientation and AMLA Seminar for newly hired employees last January 18, 2020 at the bank’s Head Office Conference Room in San Fernando City, La Union. The bank continues to employ local talents to boost its workforce as it looks to expand operations and open new branches in 2020.
The event was attended by twenty-four (24) Rang-ay Bankers from the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, La Union, Benguet and Pangasinan. The orientation aims to infuse the new hirees with the bank’s mission “To hasten progress in the communities of the Ilocos Region and Cordillera through accessible and affordable banking services”. Product and services, Government & BSP Regulations, I.T., H.R. and security policies, Consumer Assistance Group (CAG), Financial Literacy, Anti-Money Laundering (AMLA) guide were also discussed.

SOUTH BRANCHES PUGAD ADVENTURE
Rang-ay Bank from South branches composed of 11 branches in the provinces of La Union, Pangasinan, & Benguet held their Outing and Team Building last January 25, 2020 at Pugad Adventure, Pugo, La Union.
Headed by the Area Manager of South Branches, Winnie A. Mingaracal, 59 bankers from south branches were group into 4 teams-Yellow, Green, Red and Blue. The goal of the event is to ingrain teamwork among the bankers. AM Mingaracal prepared exciting activities and games such as Human Caterpillar Challenge, Water relay, Rope Passing Game, Rubber Band Shooting and Human Bundle Race for the bankers to develop team work and camaraderie among themselves.The overall winner in the activities were the Yellow Team led by Balaoan Branch Officer Trainee Shari Torralba. After enjoying the activities, the bankers had their sumptuous lunch and enjoyed the pool, zip line and other amenities of Pugad Adventure.




RANG-AY SUPPORTS SERBISYO SA BARANGAY PROGRAM OF DTI
Rang-ay Bank supports the “Serbisyo sa Barangay” seminar conducted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for the micro and small enterprises at the Barangay Ambalite, Pugo, La Union last September 27, 2019.
Area Manager for South Branches Winnie Mingaracal together with the marketing team took the opportunity to introduce Rang-ay Bank and discuss the bank’s loan programs designed to provide affordable credit for the barangay enterprises. As part of its mSME’s programs, the bank offers both regular mSME business loans and uncollateralized Barangay Micro Business Enterprise loans and agri-business loans to local businessmen and budding entrepreneurs.

ENGAGING LOCAL COMMUNITIES
Rang-ay Bank conducted two (2) separate product presentations in the City of San Fernando, La Union for the last quarter of 2019 and 1st quarter of 2020.
San Fernando Downtown Branch hosted a meeting of Night Market Food Vendor Cooperative of San Fernando City headed by Liezel Monotilla last November 11, 2019. A similar program was held last February 8, 2020 in Brgy. Catbangen for the senior citizens at the Brgy. Multipurpose Hall. The team led by Area Manager for Central Branches Thelma Evelyn Tabafunda introduced Rang-ay Bank and discussed the products and services to the attendees. CELEBRATING 64 YEARS OF COUNTRYSIDE BANKING
Rang-ay Bank celebrated 64 years of Countryside Banking with a thanksgiving luncheon held at One Nisce Place Events Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union last January 18, 2020. Rang-ay Bank Officers from all 29 banking offices from the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, La Union, Benguet and Pangasinan attended the event.
The event started with an opening remarks from the bank’s Chairman Ives Nisce who congratulated all the officers for being a part of another successful year for Rang-ay Bank. The program was also an event to recognize the top performing branches and Head Office units for the 2nd semester of 2019. The overall winner was Balaoan Cluster (Balaoan, Bacnotan, Luna and Bangar Branch). Treasury Unit-Cash Management, Marketing Unit and HR-Training Assessment Team from Head Office were also awarded as top support units for the 2nd semester of 2019. The 2019 Branch of the year award went to Laoag Cluster as the 2019 Top Performing Cluster. Laoag cluster is composed of the three (3) Ilocos Norte Branches, Laoag, Bangui and Dingras. HR-TAT & Marketing Unit jointly topped the 2019 Head Office Support Unit award.
Another highlight was the promotion and oath taking of the two (2) new Vice Presidents. Senior Manager Francis De Los Santos was promoted to Vice President for IT & Security while Senior Manager Nina Francisca Palabay was promoted to Vice President for Credit & Remedial Management. Part of the program was Ms. Analiza Pulido who delivered a motivational message to the bankers to start 2020 strong. President & CEO Ives Jesus Nisce II and Director Ivy Rose Martinez ended the event as they expressed their gratitude to all Rang-ay Bankers who have ensured the bank’s success for the past Six Decades.
