In January 16, 2025, Rang-ay Bank proudly celebrates its 69th year of serving the countryside. Since its founding in 1956, the bank has stood as a testament to the values of trust, resilience, and community spirit, becoming a cornerstone of financial empowerment and progress across Northern Luzon. Founded on January 16, 1956, by visionary Ilocano leaders Doña Numeriana Tavora-Querol and Don Teofilo A. Nisce, Rang-ay Bank began operations in the humble setting at the ground floor of Atty. Rodolfo and Eufrosina Nisce’s family home. Licensed by then Central Bank of the Philippines, now the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, it opened its doors as a pioneering financial institution committed to uplifting local communities. In nearly seven decades, Rang-ay has grown to be the largest bank of its class in Region 1 and the Cordilleras, recognized as the oldest enduring bank in Ilocandia and one of the oldest in the Philippines.
