RANG-AY BANK JOINS LOCAL FIESTAS

ABRA KAWAYAN FESTIVAL
Summer brings more than just extra heat to this tropical side of the globe. It’s also the time of the year when the many towns celebrate their local fiestas. These celebrations truly make summer more fun in the Philippines. Rang-ay Bank Offices all over the region welcomed the Summer Festival season by joining the celebrations in summer fiestas all over the Ilocos and Cordilleras.
In Abra Valley, the Province of Abra celebrated 100 years as an independent province. The centennial year was Spearheaded their Centennial Governor Ma. Jocelyn Valera Bernos. To add the colors of this celebration, various activities has been showcased like Street Dancing, Street Bazaar, Various Concerts, as well as a Grand Parade as the highlight.
Rang-ay Bankers headed by Senior Branch Manager John Marinius B. Dela Cruz, Senior Manager Dennis Dossono (Narvacan Br.), Florence Joy Licudine (Marketing Specialist) and RBI staff from Vigan and Bangued Branch joined the Grand Parade to show its support to the province and all Abrenians.
CANDON TOBACCO FESTIVAL
Candon City, meanwhile, celebrated the Tobacco Festival last March 27, 2017. The date is also to commemorate the 119th Anniversary of Historic City of Candon as well as its 16th Cityhood Anniversary. Events during the festival include a street dancing competition, a marching band competition and cultural presentations. As its name suggests the highlight of the festival was the celebration of tobacco with rolling of tobacco leaves in the traditional way.
Rang-ay Candon opened a booth to distribute giveaways, calendars and gifts. The team was headed by Area Manager Rowena Rosales, Candon Senior Branch Manager Jennelyn Ancheta, and HO Marketing Specialist Florence Joy Licudine.
DINGRAS ANI FESTIVAL
In Ilocos Norte, the Town of Dingras celebrated its 16th ANI FESTIVAL. One of the great agricultural towns in the Ilocos Norte, Dingras is known as the Rice Granary of the province.
Rang-ay Dingras spearheaded by Branch Manager Ferdinand Caday joined in the celebrations by participating in Grand Civic Military Parade of the town last March 19, 2017. The parade was participated by local government employees, schools, senior citizens, non-government organizations from communities all over the town.
BURGOS TOWN FIESTA
The Municipality of Burgos in Ilocos Sur held its Annual Town Fiesta last February 15-18, 2017. Among the many activities in the 4-day event was an inter-barangay basketball championships, Elementary and Highschool marching band exhibitions, Folk Dance competitions bingo bonanzas and a grand parade.
Rang-ay Bank together with other private and government officers and employees marched in the Grand Civic Parade with this year’s theme “God’s greatest gift to mankind – environment.” The bank delegation was headed by Branch Manager Grace Cayan and Senior Branch Manager Dennis Dosono.
