70 YEARS OF COUNTRYSIDE BANKING 💚💛

Rang-ay Bank proudly marks its 70th year of service to the countryside—seven decades of trust, resilience, and shared growth with the communities of Northern Luzon. Since its founding in 1956, the Bank has remained steadfast in its mission to empower local communities, becoming a cornerstone of financial inclusion and regional progress. This milestone is not just a celebration of longevity, but of enduring partnerships and shared aspirations built across generations.

Founded on JANUARY 16, 1956, by visionary Ilocano leaders Doña Numeriana Tavora-Querol and Teofilo A. Nisce, Rang-ay Bank began operations in a humble office at the ground floor of the Nisce family home. Licensed by the then Central Bank of the Philippines, now the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the Bank opened its doors as a pioneering financial institution committed to uplifting the countryside. From these modest beginnings, Rang-ay steadily grew—guided by strong values, prudent leadership, and an unwavering commitment to community development.

Seventy years on, Rang-ay Bank stands as the largest bank of its class in Region I and the Cordillera Administrative Region, recognized as the oldest enduring bank in Ilocandia and one of the oldest rural banks in the Philippines. Its competitive range of financial products and services continues to support individuals, families, entrepreneurs, farmers, and local enterprises—driving inclusive growth and long-term prosperity across the region.

Today, Rang-ay Bank operates through 32 strategically located branches across Northern Luzon, covering the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, and Benguet. Backed by a dedicated team of bankers, the Bank continues to deliver innovative, responsive, and community-centered financial solutions. As Rang-ay celebrates its 70th anniversary, it renews its commitment to building dynamic, self-sustaining communities—honoring the legacy of the past while continuing the journey of growth together with the people it serves.
